Conventional deadlift

Feet about hip-width, bar over the mid-foot, shins close, hips between a squat and a hinge.

Conventional deadlift
  1. 1Brace, then push the floor away. The bar stays against the legs.
  2. 2Chest and hips rise together. Don't let the hips shoot up first.
  3. 3Stand tall at the top without leaning back.

Easy to miss: Rounding the low back, or hitching the bar up the thighs.

Muscles

Copper on the figure is a prime mover. The softer tone helps.
